About Classical Music UK CLICK HERE TO JUMP TO THE CONTACT FORM Classical Music UK (CMUK) is a UK-orientated Classical Music music website with an international outlook. We're working to become the premier resource for enabling relationships and the exchange of ideas between people who love Classical Music. Our Purpose The definition of 'Classical' is changing by the week, and as we move forward into the digitalized era, the outmoded structures of the 20th Century have been cast off. In our time of perpetual and increasingly rapid change, culture (including musical culture) should exist at the cutting edge, not be passive and reactive. We're here to help you make sense of that world, and our mission is to create a democratic online environment that enables you to fuse traditional Classical values with the best of contemporary thinking. Classical Music UK itself is an independently-owned, small-scale yet global operation, embodying the concept of 'Web 2.0'. Our team of UK- and USA-based writers is supported by a freelance technology team based in Canada and Asia, and the online magazine is coordinated from London UK by our webmaster. Over the next year or two, CMUK will develop a highly useful stream of articles, information and services, to develop our relationship with our readers (that's you!), and make sure the site has a secure long-term future. At that point we'll be free to go in whichever direction you want us to, so let's see what happens... Our History Since its launch in January 2007, CMUK has been rapidly growing and building up a loyal following, and is projected to be the UK's No.1 Classical Music website by the Autumn of 2008.
Our secret? The information we publish is indispensible. Our job listings are updated every Monday and Thursday morning, and are the UK's most comprehensive classical music job listings. Why? 1) we list Performance, Teaching and Adminstration/Executive jobs 2) we focus only on the UK 3) we don't charge for listings - so we list every classical music job, not just listings from those that pay us! We also update the site frequently throughout the week with new resources and updated information for you to use and enjoy.
